Troubleshooting

Here you will find some tips for troubleshooting common errors with RTW, RTSHARE & VSLIC

VSLIC

VSLIC is an online tool, it requires your machine to be connected to the internet in order to function correctly. If you have doubts about your connectivity, browse to https://ola.vistasource.com, if you see the page then there should be no problem connecting with vslic.

In the event that licensing fails, please contact support@vistasource.com and supply the information in the status window of vslic. To do this, click “Copy Data”, then paste the text into your email.

If the vslic tool returns a “can't connect to license server” message, the reason may be a firewall or routing issue. Please contact our system administrator your support@vistasource.com for assistance.

RTW

The following table provides some troubleshooting tips:

Error messagesResolution
“Could not load some objects because they are not available on this machine”
“Could not load an object because it is not available on this machine”
“Compile error in hidden module: MenuFuncs”
“Compile error in hidden module: RibbonCallbacks”
You may not using the minimum software requirements
#N/A may initially display when using
RTINSERT
RTINSERT_RFA
RTINSERT_SFC
When inserting values with the wrapper function RTINSERT or one of its engine specific versions, the output cell may show an initial #N/A.
This is intrinsic to how an RTD server works, data is not dropped.
As soon as the actual value is available, OK is displayed, indicating that the insert was successful.

RTSHARE

If you are experiencing unexpected behavior, turn on Tracing and Error Logging before restarting. The log files will provide helpful insight into the underlying issues. Be prepared to send the files to support@vistasource.com, if the problem persists.
